Grapevine, TX – December 6, 2024
Grapevine Middle School’s Spelling Bee, held on Friday, December 6th, was an exciting and intense event. Hosted by Mrs. Saldivar and Mrs. Rhodes, the competition stretched over 35 rounds and lasted three hours, showcasing the impressive spelling skills of the students.
Starting at 8:00 AM, students from all grade levels competed, spelling increasingly difficult words, from tricky homophones to complex multisyllabic terms. The contest remained tight throughout, with the final three winners emerging after a grueling battle of spelling expertise.
The long duration of the event highlighted the students' dedication and ability to stay focused under pressure. With 35 rounds, this was one of the most competitive Spelling Bees in recent memory at Grapevine Middle School.
Principal Amanda Alexander congratulated the winners and praised the event as an example of the school’s commitment to excellence. Mrs. Alexander stated "We knew our Ponies were smart, but WOW! We are so proud of all of our spelling bee participants and congratulate our top three winners on their excellent accomplishment!"
