It’s time for another Teacher Tidbit Tuesday and today we’re featuring Ellen Hunter!
Ellen is from Toledo, OH. In school she participated in Student Government, tennis, and had a paper route 7 days a week to earn money.
Ms. Hunter attended Ohio State University, but if you ask her she calls it THE Ohio State University. She has been married for 33 years, and they have two sons in their 20s and one dog.
She enjoys walking her dog, playing tennis, biking, reading, and skiing.
Ms. Hunter joined our Wolfpack this year and teaches 7th grade CCR and 8th grade Business. Her favorite thing about being at CTMS is that “the staff is so nice and supportive [and the] students are great!”
A fun tidbit is that she loves to dance! The picture below is from Red Ribbon Week when she dressed as Taylor Swift. Ms. Hunter has been such a fun addition to our Pack and we’re so thankful she’s here.

6th grader Jordy demonstrates how art students are doing a snowy landscape. Point and squirt!

It’s time for another Teacher Tidbit Tuesday, and today we’re featuring our art teacher Mrs. Lemmon!
MaryAnne grew up in Ft. Worth, attended St. Rita's Catholic School, and then went to Nolan Catholic High School. There were 33 students in her class at St. Rita's, a K-8 school where they were in a self contained classroom. Her 8th grade teacher Sr. Mary Ellen would have her decorate the bulletin board because she saw her artistic talent. MaryAnne played basketball “not because [she] was good, but because it was a small school, and if you wanted to play, you got to play.”
Mrs. Lemmon attended The University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and The University of North Texas, where she earned her teaching certificate for all levels of Art.
She and her retired husband Bob have two children, Billy who lives in California, and Tiyana, who passed away from cancer in 2010 but left them two beautiful granddaughters, Kierstin and Lauren. They have two Yorkies, Bubba and Sissy, who she loves taking for walks. She also loves art and reading.
Mrs. Lemmon’s favorite thing about CTMS is the students who are enthusiastic and full of energy. “The students have a generous spirit that is heart-warming.”
A fun tidbit about MaryAnne is that she is a licensed pilot. She taught people how to fly as a Certified Flight Instructor for three years at Decatur Municipal Airport in Wise county. She met her husband Bob because his dad was her flight instructor!

And this is a good time to follow with some good news from Mrs. Lemmon!
The finalists for Cross Timbers Holiday Card contest are:
Grace Gastorf - 7th grade
Safia Afseen - 7th Grade
Mossimo Siosin - 6th Grade

Next Friday, November 22, we will have our annual students versus staff volleyball game at 2:45 p.m. We are encouraging wolves to bring a can good or a $1 for a donation to benefit NJHS's food drive for GRACE.

Congratulations to all of our Wolves who competed in the CTMS Spelling Bee. Ben won after 29 rounds! Cayden is our runner-up.
